BUDGIE

Before the Metallica covers, before the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM), there was a power trio called BUDGIE. When I look back at the beginning of metal, the usual names like Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin come to mind. However, I can't help but notice BUDGIE because their sound was way before its time. I admit I was introduced to them through Metallica's Garage Days Re-Revisited, but I did finally go out and purchase their self-titled debut album. Little did I know that album was so goddamn heavy...
