Goals and Objectives

The goal of the Computational Finance Graduate Certificate (CFC) program is to provide education, research and qualification in Computational Finance to University of Washington graduate students in the departments of Economics, Finance, Mathematics and Statistics, and in other departments that provide a high degree of analytical training such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management Science. Students will receive training in the application of computer programming, applied mathematics and statistical methods necessary for the computational modeling and analysis in finance. This will prepare them for career paths in the finance, insurance and energy markets industries, and as educators and researchers in quantitative finance academic programs.
