The Division of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at the Medical University of South Carolina invites applications for a Research Associate, a faculty-level position within the Department of Medicine. This position is for biostatisticians with research and professional employment experience in medical research and a Masters degree in biostatistics, applied statistics, or related fields. 
The Research Associate would provide statistical support which may include reviewing protocol drafts, participation on study teams, assisting lead statisticians in the design of appropriate analyses, and developing derived data sets as well as interim and final statistical reports of clinical studies. The position requires candidates with the interest and ability in statistical programming, along with clinical trials and other areas of medical research. 

Candidates should be able to work independently, have experience and ability in computer-oriented data analysis, experience with SAS, and excellent oral and written communication skills. Prior experience interacting with investigators from multiple disciplines is highly desired.
