Welcome:

Tilman Gneiting, Acting Assistant Professor is here now from Germany. He is teaching Stat 519 this quarter.

Janet Witt has joined the department as an Editorial Assistant for JASA. Janet is currently Managing Editor of Sociological Methodology and also a member of the Sociology Department staff. She received her degree (B.A. in English) from Westmont College, Santa Barbara, California. Previously, she worked in the field of Grants and Contracts, here at the University of Washington and before that at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Janet has written several poems.

Thuy Nguyen is our new Student Assistant. She works 1:30 - 4:30 Monday through Friday.

Rick Benoit will be working with the Math Sciences Computing Group and Statistics for a few months. His office is Padelford B-312.
