How to Connect to the Terminal Servers


Windows Users:

  1. Go to Start –> All Programs –> Accessories –> Communications –> Remote Desktop connection
  2. In the “Computer” field, enter stat592a.stat.washington.edu
  3. Click on “Options” then select the “Display” tab to adjust the appropriate resolution under “Remote desktop size”
  4. Click on “Connect”
  5. In the Login Window, enter the username, and login you were sent, and for Domain: STAT592A

MAC Users:

  1. Download a version of the Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) client for your Mac: OSX Remote Desktop Client
  2. After your download finishes, find RDC in your Applications folder and double-click to open it.
  3. In the “Computer” field, enter stat592a.stat.washington.edu
  4. Click on “Options” then select the “Display” tab to adjust the appropriate resolution under “Remote desktop size”
  5. Click on “Connect”
  6. In the Login Window, enter the username, and login you were sent, and for Domain: STAT592A

Linux Users:

rdesktop -d stat -g1024x768 stat592a.stat.washington.edu
