Working Group on Applied, Bayesian and Computational Statistics
This working group meets weekly on Fridays at 9am in Padelford C-301.
It was formerly called ``Working Group on Model-Based Clustering,''
and met under that name from 1995 to 2006.
The main topics are:
- model-based clustering and mixture models, with applications,
including gene expression data and medical imaging
- Bayesian model selection via Bayes factors, and Bayesian model averaging
- Inference for deterministic simulation models,
including numerical weather prediction, human population projections,
epidemic modeling and urban planning.

News
- There will be a summer working group session from July 21-25, 2008
in Seattle, with an opening social event on July 20 and the traditional
working group hike on July 26.
