Shoreline Fire Department

The Shoreline Fire Department serves a 13-square mile area in the northern part of King County, WA with a population of about 50,000. From the Shoreline Fire Department website:

Shoreline Fire Department employs approximately 100 employees who are involved in a diverse range of activities. The department provides 24-hour coverage for fire suppression, technical rescue, emergency medical and advanced life support, fire prevention and education, fire investigations, inspections, and code compliance to the population of the district. Emergency response totals about 8,000 calls annually, about 80-percent of which is for medical aid.

Center for Traditional Medicine

Based in Olympia, WA, the Center for Traditional Medicine "promotes the cross cultural healing arts and sciences and advances social change to benefit individual and community health through activist scholarship research and practice."

American Civil Liberties Union of Washington
