Proposed schedule of StatGen course offsprings 2008-2011

This information is currently not finalized, but is likely to be so.

Course schedule plan

There is a change in the scheduling of course offerings, with both GE 562 and GE 540 being offered in Winter. In part due to this, and also to better fit Stat and Biostat first-year course schedules, we plan to start offering BS 550 in Spring, to be followed by BS 551 in Fall, and BS 552 in Winter/Spring. This will enable students to start the BS 550-1-2 sequence in Spring of their first year. BS 552 will probably be offered only alternate years (the years GE 562 is not offered), and will probably switch to being offered in winter.

(NOTE: BS = STAT/BIOST or BIOST/STAT, GE = GENOME )

Note: ** In order to smooth the transition to the new schedule, well prepared student who have NOT taken 550 may be permiited to take BS 551 in Fall 2008.
*** Since BIOST/STAT 552 will not be offered from Spring 2008 to Winter 2010, students who have taken 550 but not 551 may be able to take 552 in Spring 2008.
