Who is this Guy?

I grew up on a farm near a small town called Kaiwaka in New Zealand (map 20kb). More information about New Zealand can be found here. New Zealanders have a strange way of speaking, so you can go here for a list of Kiwi slang.

I went to Otamatea High School, and then on to the University of Auckland to do a Bachelor of Science with Honours. I made many friends at O'Rorke Hall and at "YF", a youth group at St Andrew's Presbetarian Church on Symonds St. I attended St Pauls on Symonds St, an Anglican church (specifically a high Anglican [read Episcopalian for you Yanks] with an Anglo-Catholic Tradition).

When I graduated, it was recommend to me that I should do a PhD overseas somewhere, and ended up at the University of Washington. When I got here, I was hosted by a FIUTS host for a week, thourghly recommended for anyone comming to the UW from foriegn parts. The stat department has a social schedule varying from the busy to nonexistant depending on the time of the year.

I also joined Graduate Intervaristy Christian Fellowship, a group of christian grads who get together for fellowship and bible studying. I joined Bethany Comunity Church and have found it to be a really good church with good fellowship groups and good teaching - although it is a little too large for my tastes.

We were fortunate to have an anonymous graduate student who drew some Characatures of some of our faculty members. The student has since graduated.

Here are some Pictures of My Brother and Sister-in-law 's house.

I once had the intention of having pictures of the week, but that ended up being pictures of the month or even less.
