Center for Statistics and the Social Sciences (CSSS)
The center provides statistical consulting to researchers in affiliated departments.
Statistical services available to faculty and students include: assistance with study planning and design; review of the analysis section of proposals and reports; advice on data visualization and presentation; assistance with the choice and application of statistical methods; and development of specialized statistical methods. Please note that the consulting service does not generally provide statistical software support nor does it implement computer analyses. Center for Biomedical Statistics (CBS)
Biostatistical collaboration for University of Washington and Institute of Translational Health Sciences (ITHS) investigators and trainees is coordinated through the Center for Biomedical Statistics (CBS). Specific guidance regarding design and analysis options for proposed studies is provided, including assistance in the preparation of grant proposals. The CBS also provides expertise in conjunction with Biomedical Informatics with electronic data capture (EDC). Statistical support and collaboration is also provided to non-ITHS investigators subject to availability and in accordance with Policies.
Statistics in the Community (StatCom)
StatCom is a volunteer graduate student organization that provides free statistical consulting services to non-profit community and governmental groups.
Dept of Applied Mathematics
The Department of Applied Mathematics offers consulting on mathematical modeling and related problems through AMATH 502, "Applied Mathematics Clinic" (206-543-5493).
Center for Studies in Demography and Ecology (CSDE)
The mission of the Statistics Core of CSDE is to provide expertise and assistance in the choice and implementation of statistical methodology for demographic research.
Center for Social Science Computation and Research (CSSCR)
The Center for Social Science Computation and Research (CSSCR) is an interdepartmental resource center for social science departments within the College of Arts and Sciences, the Graduate School of Public Affairs, the College of Education, and the School of Social Work.
